Coral Stone

Caribbean Coral Stone, Keystone, Shellstone, Coralina, Marbella and Calypso are some of the names by which this natural limestone is known through the United States, is extracted from a limestone quarry near the Caribbean coast of the Dominican Republic. The manufacturing process is similar to the one practiced thousands of years ago, where a big block of stone is extracted from a quarry and set in a processing line, where a sequence of chain saws cut it to the desired formats.

Coral Stone, used mostly as a decorative element, can be used in interiors and exteriors. In places like pools, patios, gazebos, sidewalks, walls, façades and others. Coral Stone acts as an enhancer, making those areas part of a tropical environment, manifested by its colors and characteristics.

Coral Stone is also, thermo isolating. Because of its physical characteristic, the material absorbs heat, and will feel warm to the touch, even on the hottest of summer days.

Architectural Elements such as Columns, balusters, window trims and moldings, railing, pool copings, among other, are LMT’s specialty.

Because of its physical characteristics, Coral Stone is a material that can be polished, it may suffer some small variation in texture or color.
